Summary


I really don't think that neither the governor nor the legislature has any intention of trying to solve the public school funding problem. But, it is not entirely their fault! They have been placed in the unenviable position of having to depend upon their own opinions, perceptions, ideologies, and biases to guide them in this matter. As a result you have some politicians who feel that the government shouldn't be involved in educational funding at all. Other politicians feel that the public school system cannot live up to appropriate standards of "good education" so they don't deserve any money. While still other politicians probably feel that only a faith-based education could guide today's children through the moral "minefields of contemporary" life. So, then there does not appear to be any motivating influence encouraging our state elected officials to provide us with an appropriate solution to the public school funding problem.
