"I think that parents should try to talk to their kids about it, and I don't think parents really go through their teenagers' phones without knowing or telling them what is appropriate," continued the student. "But again, if they are paying the phone bill they should be able to."

"As long as there are rules in place that you shouldn't be doing this and shouldn't be doing that," explained [William Felty]. "I don't see a problem with privacy issues."

"If they are doing something wrong eventually it will come out," continued Felty. "Whether it is a guilt thing or whether it is just wanting to make sure that what it is they are doing is inappropriate, and if it is not appropriate, they want to hear in an indirect way from an adult."
