Summary


Others would remind her that a "pregnant Hispanic dropout" had little prospects for a bright future. Accepting welfare and food stamps as a necessity to feed her growing family, [Eloise L. Morales] pressed ahead. Becoming a nurse's assistant was the first step towards her childhood dream. Like a seed on fertile soil she grew as a medical professional.

Eloise rose to the top of her profession as an Emergency Room nurse, helping to heal the injured citizens of San Antonio. Though as a struggling teenager she was often discouraged, she chose to inspire others. "If I can do it, you can do it!" she would say to those facing challenges. Our Academy motto "You really can do it" pays tribute to the spirit of inspiration.
