"The Mustang is a cultural icon," [Larry Erickson] said. "With 40 years of history and more than eight million sold, everyone knows what a Mustang looks like. Our challenge was to incorporate design cues from the past into a modern design that's instantly recognizable as a Mustang."

"This is the first time in 22 years that I have been as excited as I am about a Mustang," [Mac Spellmann] said. "The Mustang has found its way back to what it once was."
