San Antonio Botanical Gardens Unveils New Texas Native Trail

Summary


This trail stretches across 1,200 miles of botanical territory while reflecting what Botanical Garden staff call "a unique walk through Texas." This attraction takes guests through Texas' three most distinctive fields, the Hill Country, East Texas Pineywoods and South Texas Plains, all complete with informative, bilingual signage and plants native to each region. Visitors can also expect to find each area with its own share of an 1800 "period" look, including log cabins, music, and people dressed in like clothing offering numerous activities for kids.

"It's the legacy, it's the future of this garden," she said. "It's a wonderful exhibit, people can come to it any season of the year and enjoy a real Texas experience," she said.
