"Thirty percent of our profits have declined due to the tough economy crisis," said [Roy Carranza]. "If we were making over $100,000 a month in sales, we are now making $70,000 a month in sales. If we profited maybe $10,000 a month, now we are profiting only $6,000 or $7,000 a month. [To save some money] I now go to the restaurant depot and pick up the products by myself, instead having delivery and paying extra for the items. I save myself about $700 or $800 a week."

"The economy is affecting business because people do not want to go out and spend money like they did in the past," said Carranza. "Years ago, people would just go out and eat at restaurants, spending their money with their families. In the last two to three years, because the economy is down, people are eating in fast-food restaurants, cooking at home and going to grocery stores instead to going out to eat."
